CHIMP :: Conceptual and Historical Issues in Modern Physics

Welcome to CHIMP

This list provides a meeting-point for researchers interested in the conceptual, historical and philosophical foundations of modern physics (particularly researchers in the Sydney region, although others are also very welcome to join). Previous postings to the list are accessible at the CHIMP Archives.

Posting to CHIMP

Messages for the list should be emailed to chimp@arts.usyd.edu.au. All subscribers may post to the list, and posts are currently unmoderated. Non-subscribers may not post. (If you have subscribed, and still get a message saying that your posting to the list has been rejected, check that your "Reply to" address is the same email address you used when you subscribed. And also check that your message is not being sent to the list as a "Bcc:" address -- this seems to make the list software a trifle suspicious, so please put the address in the "To:" or "Cc:" field instead.)

Subscribing to CHIMP

To subscribe to CHIMP, use the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from subscribing you against your will. Currently, this is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address: Your name (optional): You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password, because it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be emailed to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You will be emailed a monthly reminder of your password, and you may also request a reminder whenever you edit your personal options (see below). Options for existing subscribers

To unsubscribe from CHIMP, get a password reminder, or change your subscription options, enter your subscription email address: (If you leave the field blank, you will be prompted for your email address.)
