Professor MARIO PERNIOLA (University of Rome), one of Italy's leading
philosophers of art, culture, and media, will be presenting a public
lecture on Wednesday 14 May, 2008, entitled "Rembrandt’s ‘Maniére
Noire". 

Venue: University of Sydney, Pharmacy Lecture Theatre, Pharmacy
Building, Science Road, 6 – 8 pm.

Professor Perniola's lecture on Rembrandt will be followed by responses
from Laleen Jayamanne (University of Sydney) and Robert Sinnerbrink
(Macquarie University). There will also be time for general discussion.

Attached is a flyer listing further talks that Professor Perniola will
be giving in Sydney and in Melbourne over the next two weeks.
