A stipend is available for a PhD candidate for 3.5 years to undertake research on embodied identity and social justice at the University of Tasmania. The candidate will research a topic that proposes to undertake analysis of socially salient identity at the junction where corporeal experience and social imaginings converge to produce meaning-generating narratives and compelling normative expectations. (The proposed philosophical framework is open, however, the project will have its foundations in feminist philosophy.)

There is a three-step application process: 1. Select your project, and check you meet the eligibility and selection criteria; 2. contact the Primary Supervisor, Dr Louise Richardson-Self (louise.richardsonself at utas.eu.au<mailto:louise.richardsonself at utas.eu.au>), to discuss your suitability and the project's requirements; and 3. submit an application by 27 March 2023. Candidates will also need to follow the normal admissions procedures for higher-degree research at UTAS. (More information about this project and how to apply can be accessed here: https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/0cLxCANpgjC9DQQwNiGSCN3?domain=utas.edu.au.)
